Karen Dempsey, Founder

Karen A. Dempsey, founder and principal of Alliance Relocation, is an accomplished and experienced real estate professional. Since founding Alliance Relocation in 1996, she has helped clients successfully relocate from all over the world to communities throughout the Greater Boston area. Her community and real estate knowledge extends as far south as Duxbury, as far north as southern New Hampshire, and as far west as Route 495. Karen also assists in outgoing relocations around the country and to parts of Canada, Europe and Asia.

Karen is both a licensed real estate agent and a licensed mortgage broker. In addition to Alliance Relocation, she founded and runs Alliance Home Loan, a residential mortgage company, and homebuyhq, a real estate advisory service. Prior to founding Alliance Relocation in 1996, she served as an account executive at Citizens Bank, where she specialized in residential lending. Before joining Citizens, she was a top-producing residential real estate agent at the Boston office of Hunneman & Company Coldwell Banker, one of Massachusetts' largest real estate agencies.

Karen is a graduate of Boston University, where she received a B.A. in Business Administration. She is a past member of the town of Winchester Personnel Board and served as a board member for the Woman Business Founders, a chapter of the National Association for Female Executives. Karen is currently a member of the New England Human Resource Association (NEHRA) and the Downtown Women's Club (DWC). Her business is WBE-certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

An avid sportswoman, she is a member of the Executive Women's Golf Association and Professional Ski Instructors of America. In addition to volunteering for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, she has been a long time volunteer ski instructor with both Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports program and Maine Handicapped Skiing, where she helps people of all ages and various disabilities learn to enjoy the sport of skiing.
